Nero DiscSpeed is a benchmarking software solution designed to help you find out the real abilities of your CD-ROM or DVD drive, conducting a series of tests to reveal CPU usage and transfer rate.

Of course, there are many more tests included in the package, such as seek times, burst rate, DAE quality, spinup and spindown time, load and eject times.

The user has the option to either perform them individually or all at the same time, in which case Nero DiscSpeed will need more time, around 10 minutes, to complete the tests.

You don’t have to be a guru to learn how to use Nero DiscSpeed, but you will need to know some geek language to be able to understand the results. Just as always, there is a lot of information online, so in case you’re in trouble with the way Nero DiscSpeed displays the results, just Google them a little bit.

As for the app per se, it works pretty impressive and we must admit that we were a bit surprised during our test. Although this kind of program isn’t quite a must have, it could pretty much become one since it can tell you whether a disc will give you errors or not when trying to burn a CD.

Not to mention that you will know exactly how fast is your drive, although this might also depend on some other factors, such as the quality of the CD and the amount of data you wish to burn.

But Nero DiscSpeed is undoubtedly one of the best tools in the market and the freeware license that’s included in the package should make it a keeper.

Bạn đã bao giờ gặp phải vấn đề khi đang copy một thư mục thì chỉ vì 1 file lỗi nhỏ nào đó mà bạn phải dừng toàn bộ quá trình sao chép lên đến hàng chục GB của mình lại? Nếu gặp rồi thì bạn sẽ cần đến phương thức sao chép tuyệt đối được giới thiệu trong bài viết sau.
Thông thường, khi bạn copy 1 thư mục hay toàn bộ dữ liệu trên 1 ổ, Windows sẽ đọc lướt ổ đĩa hay thư mục cần sao chép đó và tạo ra 1 bản sao của khối dữ liệu đó trên 1 ổ đĩa khác.
Bản sao này thực chất không hoàn chỉnh, bởi nó không sao chép lại toàn bộ những gì thật sự có trên ổ đĩa. Bởi cơ chế sao chép của Windows vẫn chưa hoàn hảo nên trong quá trình copy có bất kì lỗi nào xảy ra ờ cả bên nguồn và bên đích thì việc copy sẽ bị ngừng lại.
Nếu bạn thực sự cần chuyển tất cả dữ liệu trên 1 ổ cứng cũ sang một ổ cứng mới và muốn đảm bảo nó không khác gì những dữ liệu bạn đang có trên ổ cũ (kể cả những thứ đã xóa mà vùng nhớ đó chưa bị ghi đè lên). HDD Raw Copy Tool sẽ cung cấp cho bạn một giải pháp sao chép dữ liệu cấp thấp (giống như Low-level Format) nó sẽ sao chép nguyên vẹn từng cung từ (sector) có trên ổ đĩa cũ và chuyển hết sang ổ đĩa mới. Chương trình có cấu tạo và cách sử dụng tương đối đơn giản. Tại cửa sổ đầu tiên khi khởi động chương trình, các bạn hãy chọn ổ cứng muốn chép dữ liệu, hoặc nếu muốn bạn có thể chép 1 file nào đó cụ thể ở dòng dưới cùng.

Sau khi chọn được nguồn cần chép hãy nhấn continue để tiếp tục chọn đích đến cho những dữ liệu được sao chép này.

Cuối cùng là bấm Start để bắt đầu quá trình sao chép dữ liệu.

Và sau khi quá trình sao chép sector kết thúc, bạn sẽ có 1 khối dữ liệu giống hệt với khối dữ liệu cũ kể cả những dữ liệu đã từng bị xóa khỏi thùng rác của máy tính.
